Background of VTC: |

The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) was established in 1976 by the temporary law No.35. Currently the VTC operates under Law No. 11 (VTC Law) of 1985 and its revised Law No.50 of 2001 as well as – law No 27 (Occupational Work Regulation Law) of 1999. VTC provides its services to all citizens, regardless of their scientific levels. This means that VTC believes in learning for life concept in all its programs. For example, the occupational preparation programs & all their levels or the upgrading programs to upgrade the efficiency of labour market workers. VTC also offers occupational safety & health training & counseling services in order to prevent work sites accidents, to train trainers & supervisors in the behavioral & management aspects, to develop Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) work & to organize the Jordanian labour market

Mission of VTC
To contribute in the preparation of the skilled workforce through the continuous training programs, the qualifying & rehabilitating of the workforce, the upgrading programs, workshops & workers classification & organization. Also by offering support & training services for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This can be achieved through the designing & the implementation of the training programs & through the extraordinary accredited counseling services with the participation of the private sector & the civil community institutions

Tasks of VTC
· To provide vocational training opportunities in order to prepare the technical workforce & upgrade its efficiency in the non-academic vocational training levels and various specializations and to work on varying the vocational training
· Develop Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) & offer supporting guidance services
· Organize the occupational work practice through workshops & workers classification
